Local Safeguarding Training

LOCAL SAFEGUARDING TRAINING

Excellent training that is quality assured, factually up to date and very relevant is delivered through the Plymouth Safeguarding Children Board.

All training can be found at the PCSB learning and development page

The advantage of attending the training delivered by PSCB is that it is provided by professionals who are experts in their field, from a range of different agencies – including the police and children’s social care. Plymouth continue to put ‘Working Together for Children 2010’ into practice. The benefits of working together and sharing with others from a number of disciplines include: reducing the sense of isolation, increasing your resources to take action and meeting others who can support you in our common mission - to ensure that we safeguard and give the best to our children and young people.

Each training place has a cost  of £75 per person, but remember this will be essential to your provision, so please do include the cost of training staff and volunteers in your budgets and applications to any funder where your work involves children and young people.

The PCSB are always looking for new and creative ways to spread the learning and importance of keeping updated on Safeguarding Issues. You may have seen the Serious Case Review Campaign in 2013 and the poster set, based on the ‘10 wishes of Young People’.
